Chrome Beta, Dev, Canary version replace Logo with small letter logo

Previously, Google announced an update to the Chrome browser LOGO, and the newly designed LOGO will be gradually rolled out to all versions and devices in the future. At present, this work seems to have started. Bluedot.com noticed that the LOGO of the Chrome Beta, Dev, and Canary versions have all changed. If users are using the beta version, they should have noticed these changes.

PC version small icon plus letters:

In the previous version, the Chrome beta version would add the words Beta, Dev, etc. to the icon, while the Canary version had a golden LOGO without letters. In this update, Google thought that writing full letters on small icons would actually make them blurrier and harder to read, so Google shortened them to channel initials, such as B and D.

In addition, the LOGO of Chrome itself has also been updated, but the stable version channel has not been updated, so it is easier to see the changes if different versions are put together.

At present, the Chrome beta series has reached the v100+ version, and it is expected that the stable version will be updated to the v100+ version in 2~4 weeks.

Tribute to TestFlight for iOS:

As previously announced, Google’s Chrome LOGO on the iOS version looks like the Apple TestFlight logo. Google says this is a tribute to the TestFlight project because through this project developers can reach more users for version testing.

Of course, it is recommended that users do not put Chrome and TestFlight together, otherwise, they are likely to click the wrong App because the two are too similar, it is better to place them at a larger distance.
