Speedometer is a web page response testing tool developed by Apple’s WebKit team. It simulates various interactions between users and web pages and tests many well-known frameworks and browser responses.

On the official blog, Google said that in the past few months, Chrome has a lot of new technologies, such as ThinLTO, making it the fastest browser.
Google also said that it has been 15 months since the release of the M1 Mac in late 2020, and Chrome has increased its speed by 43% in the 15 months. In terms of graphics processing, Chrome is 15% faster than Safari. The machine tested this time is a MacBook Pro equipped with an M1 Max chip.
