Material You style buttons are coming to the Google Play Store

The work of the Google developer team continues unabated to introduce the design language called Material You (launched with Android 12) in the various applications of the Mountain View giant and will soon release a new version of the Google Play Store that will bring with it some novelty from this point of view.

We recall that last October Google has already introduced a graphic redesign for the Google Play Store but this intervention was limited only to the initial screen while new buttons in full Material You style will soon be implemented throughout the application.

Here’s how the look of the Google Play Store will change

The Material You design language uses pill-shaped buttons and the 9to5Google staff has managed to enable a version of the Google Play Store in which the new style of buttons is used everywhere, even in application lists (for the “Install ”,“ Update ”and“ Uninstall ”) and in the screen dedicated to pending downloads.

Furthermore, in the section dedicated to the management of applications and devices, the system no longer uses other elements for the menus, focusing on the pill-shaped keys. For the moment this of the buttons is the main novelty related to Material You coming to the Google Play Store while the developer team has not yet enabled support for dynamic colors (and this is not even for the buttons alone).

This new version of the Google Play Store has not yet been publicly released for Android users and at present, there is no information on when the Mountain View giant might decide to make it available to everyone (it is probably still testing changes and wishes to terminate rehearsals before a general roll out). We look forward to hearing more soon.
