According to the latest reports, the popular open sandbox game Minecraft appears to have been removed from Google Play and Apple App Store in Russia because Some news agencies in Russia reported that the game was no longer available.
Microsoft, which owns Minecraft developer Mojang Studios, announced last week that it would stop selling its products in Russia in response to the Russian government’s war on Ukraine. Apple made a similar move last week.
While Microsoft has yet to make an official announcement about the game’s removal, digital sales of Minecraft will fall under all new sales of Microsoft products as mentioned in the official announcement, so it’s not surprising that the game will be removed from the Russian app store.
