Google’s new Screen Time widget is designed to encourage you to take breaks

Google offers a new screen time widget that is supposed to rub your screen time under your nose and encourage you to take a break. As expected, the widget synchronizes with the Digital Wellbeing function, which is already well established on Android.

The widget shows you how many minutes or hours you have spent staring at the screen of your smartphone. Your three most-used apps are also shown to you. Then perhaps clear up the misconception that you would only check work emails if TikTok is actually ranked on Numero Uno.

The Screen Time widget is already optimized for Android 12. So if you use the new operating system, you will experience how the colors adapt to your background. Tapping on the widget opens the Digital Wellbeing menu directly. Maybe one or the other feels like testing the widget.
