Netflix raises prices again, extension to UK and Ireland

Following the issue of the subscription with Netflix advertising (spoiler: for the moment there are no plans on this), we return to treat the news related to the popular streaming service. Indeed, a new price increase has been announced.

Going into more detail, according to what was reported by MSPowerUser and The Guardian, the company of Reed Hastings has decided to implement increases to its subscription plans for what concerns the United Kingdom and Ireland. New users of these markets will therefore see increased prices from now on, while those who are already subscribers will have 30 days’ notice, based on the billing cycle.

In any case, the second price increase over 18 months in the above markets is expected to rise from 1 to 2 pounds per month. More specifically, Netflix’s basic plan now costs £ 6.99 per month, when previously the price was £ 5.99 per month. The most expensive subscription is now offered at £ 15.99 per month (previously it cost £ 13.99 per month). The most popular plan now costs £ 10.99 a month.

But it is probably more interesting for us to look at the prices relative to Ireland. Well, now we move on to the various plans, from the least expensive to the most expensive, at 8.99 euros per month (previously 7.99 euros per month), 14.99 euros per month (previously 12.99 euros per month). and 20.99 euros per month (previously 17.99 euros per month). In any case, for now, Italy is not involved in these increases.

However, the situation regarding Netflix’s price increases in various parts of the globe is also causing home users to discuss, who obviously hope not to have to pay more for the service in the future.
