With the launch of Valve’s Steam Deck handheld, Microsoft has announced which of their Steam games are compatible with Steam Deck.

Microsoft said that Forza Horizon 5/4 and Brain Navigator 2 can be played on Steam Deck, while the Halo series will not be able to support the device due to anti-cheat requirements.

Fully supported games:

  • Brain Navigator 2
  • Blade of Hell
  • Battle Frog
  • Doodle Hero: Brotherhood

Games that can be played:

  • Sea of Thieves
  • Forza Motorsport: Horizon 5
  • Forza Motorsport: Horizon 4
  • Quantum Break
  • State of Decay: Anniversary Survival Edition

Unsupported games:

  • Gears of War 5

Fortnite and Destiny 2 are also not playable on Steam Deck. While Valve is working on getting both Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye to run on Steam Deck’s SteamOS via the Proton Compatibility Layer, it’s clear that the level of security doesn’t meet the standards of some games.
