While work on the Game Boy emulator in Minecraft continues, a collective of over 8,000 Mojang sandbox fans is finalizing the development of the 1: 1 scale reconstruction of New York City, with results that are nothing short of sensational.
The efforts made by the huge group of Minecraft content creators are linked to the BuildTheEarth project, an ambitious program carried out by those who try, yes, to reconstruct the entire earth’s surface in 1: 1 scale using the blocks of the cult sandbox of Mojang.
The digital forge that welcomes the eight thousand creators of the Big Apple rebuilt in Minecraft represents, not surprisingly, the largest community of the MineFact Network of the BuildTheEarth project.
At the moment, the huge shared development creative platform that has hosted the map of New York for six months includes approximately 10,000 buildings, from the skyscrapers that draw the characteristic Manhattan skyline to the immense network of infrastructures that connect the different neighborhoods.
