Some pictures show us what Android 12L would look like on a computer

Let’s go back to talking about Android 12L, the version of Android designed for devices with generously sized or particular displays. Thanks to Jon West, founder of Bliss OS, today we can find out what Android 12L would look like on a computer.

A necessary premise must be made: Google does not seem willing to release an ad hoc version of Android for computers; however, some projects (including the one we are talking about) of third party developers, have tried to imagine what Android 12L would look like if it were put into operation on a computer.

Bliss OS is an open-source operating system; it is, in essence, a project that brings Android to PC. The developer had first created a version of its operating system based on Android 11 and, more recently, one based on Android 12.

The latest version of the project is based on Android 12L, an operating system that appears identical to Android 12, net of small changes that tend to optimize some graphic aspects to make the most of large displays.

Among these changes we find, for example, the 2-column layout introduced in the lock screen and in the notification screen and control center, as well as further optimization in the management of multitasking and a renewed taskbar (very similar to the one present in ChromeOS ).

In this computer port, we find an Android 12L very similar to that usable on a tablet, net of some small changes made by the developer to adapt them to a desktop environment, and it seems that everything works properly.

This is only the first of the external projects born around Android 12L ; everything was made possible thanks to the fact that the source code of this version of the operating system has been available for a few days.
