Microsoft Win11 Beta/Release preview version Build 22000.588 (KB5011563) was pushed to users today, bringing a number of fixes. Build 22000.588 made a feature improvement. This version supports the simultaneous display of up to three high-priority Toast notifications. This feature is available for apps that use Windows Notifications in the operating system to send call, reminder, or alarm notifications.
Therefore, after updating to this version, up to four toast notifications may appear simultaneously – three high-priority notifications and one normal-priority notification. (KB5011563).
The following are bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue with UWP apps turning off auto-launch after upgrading the OS.
- Fixed an issue that caused SystemSettings.exe to stop working.
- Fixed an issue affecting searchindexer.exe and preventing Microsoft Outlook’s offline search from returning recent emails.
- Fixed an issue affecting Windows startup speed. This issue occurs because the UI thread in the network API stops responding when the 5G Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) device wakes up slowly.
- Fixed a memory leak in the wmipicmp.dll module that caused numerous false alarms in the System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) data center monitoring system.
- Fixed an issue where execution policy settings were incorrectly returned from the registry.
- Fixed an issue where modern browsers would not render HTML generated by gpresult /h correctly.
- Fixed an issue that caused an “Access Denied” exception for files during PowerShell testing of AppLocker.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Remote Desktop Services (RDS) server to become unstable when the number of logged-in users exceeded 100. This prevents users from accessing published apps using RDS on Windows Server 2019.
- Fixed an issue that returned an error message when a user browses a domain or organizational unit (OU) due to improperly zeroed memory.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Group Policy Management Console to stop working after the user closed it. The system logs application error event ID 1000 and error 0xc0000005 (STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION); the failing module is GPOAdmin.dll.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the Group Policy service to stop processing telemetry information for Group Policy registry preferences.
- Fixed stop error (0xD1, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) in DirectX kernel component.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Kerberos.dll to stop working in the Local Security Authority Subsystem Service (LSASS). This happens when LSASS handles both User Service (S4U) User-to-User (U2U) requests for the same client user.
- Fixed an issue affecting Key Distribution Center (KDC) agents. The KDC agent was unable to correctly obtain the Kerberos credentials used to trust Windows Hello for Business with the login key.
- Added support for Microsoft Accounts (MSA) pass-through scenarios in Azure Active Directory (AAD) Web Account Manager (WAM).
- Fixed an issue where Event ID 37 is logged during certain password change scenarios, including Failover Cluster Name Object (CNO) or Virtual Computer Object (VCO) password changes.
- Fixed an issue with apps that prevented the UAC dialog from displaying correctly requesting elevated privileges.
- Fixed an issue that could cause focus to be lost after renaming a OneDrive file and pressing Enter.
- When users search for word widgets, they will be able to return to the corresponding settings page.
- Fixed an issue preventing event 4739 from showing new values for some properties after a policy change.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Move-ADObject command to fail when moving computer accounts across domains. The error message is “Multiple values specified for a property that can only have one value”.
- Fixed an issue that prevented users from accessing Server Message Block (SMB) shares using IP addresses when SMB enhancements were enabled.
- Fixed an issue causing stop error 0x1E in the SMB server (srv2.sys).
- Fixed an issue that caused NetBIOS and DNS Active Directory domain name mismatch when creating a cluster.
