Members of the Windows Insider program for the Beta and Release Preview channels, today Microsoft rolled out a cumulative update for Windows 11. This update does not introduce new features and focuses on bug fixes and quality improvements.

The Release Preview channel mainly tests cumulative updates, and will only be officially released to users after passing the user’s test. After installing the update, the Windows 11 system version number was raised to Build 22000.588. One notable change is the new priority system for system notifications. Starting with Build 22000.588, Windows 11 can now display up to three high-priority notification toasts simultaneously.

It can be especially useful when you get multiple notifications at the same time. For example, you can see reminders and calls at the same time, and on top of these three high-priority notifications, Windows 11 will also display a regular notification. As mentioned earlier, Windows 11 build 22000.588 isn’t a big release, and it doesn’t include anything that stands out. However, there are multiple bug fixes, including a fix for UWP apps not launching on startup.
