The games on day one

It took a few months longer than necessary, but in the end, he made it:

Shredders (from March 17 on Cloud, Xbox Series X | S and PC) is an open world snowboard simulator designed specifically for the next-gen that, by its creators’ own admission, it draws inspiration from many great snowboarding movies, the original Xbox video game series Amped, and snowboarding heroes on Instagram.

The numbers speak of dozens and dozens of professional athletes, including Jamie Anderson, Kevin Backstrom, Jake Blauvelt and Sebbe De Buck, and hundreds of equipment from real brands, such as GoPro, Oakley, The North Face, Vans and K2, but the heart The button of production lies in the multiplayer component: in the gigantic open world, characterized by different types of terrain and configurations, you will meet many real players with whom you compete and do tricks.

On March 24 it is Norco’s turn(PC), a gothic-sci-fi point-and-click adventure in which you can explore the industrial swamps and decaying suburbs of southern Louisiana. In a New Orleans painted in pixel art, you must follow a fugitive security cyborg through refineries, shopping malls and drains to find the brother of the protagonist, who disappeared after the death of his mother.

On your way you will meet a varied cast of characters, inhabitants of a world where the boundaries of morality are not easily distinguishable. Completely different is Crusader Kings III , which debuts on Xbox Series X | S and immediately in Game Pass on March 27. The historical strategic game developed by Paradox does not need great presentations, since it has been a full-blown reality in the PC field for several years (among other things, it is already included in PC Game Pass).

In view of its debut on the next-gen console, it has equipped itself with a suitably reformulated interface and a command scheme adapted to the ambitions of the controllers and its users. We have already talked about these aspects in our preview of Crusaders Kings 3 for Xbox Series X. The latest edition of the month is Weird West (from March 31st on Cloud, Console and PC), a Lovecraftian-inspired role-playing game created by the co-creators of Dishonored and Prey, among which the name of Raphael Colantonio stands out.

In this dark fantasy-style take on the wild west, where law enforcement and gunfighters share the frontier with fantastic creatures, you play a group of atypical heroes and shape their destiny by making tough decisions. Each game will be unique, as the game will adapt the story and world configuration based on the choices made.

F1 2021 and other games

The new Formula 1 world championship is upon us, but the next official Codemasters video game won’t be out until next summer. In the meantime, you can pass the wait by playing F1 2021 (from March 24 on consoles), which compensates for the outdated licenses with high-level gameplay, the result of almost a decade of refinements, and game modes in profusion.

In this sense, Breaking Point (a narrative experience that combines competition, dramatic moments and rivalry off the track), the Career (also available for two players) and Mia Scuderia (with a team to manage and lead to success) stand out. . On Xbox Series X F1 2021 offers two graphics modes and applies ray tracing to cutscene, replay and photo mode.

Little known, but not unworthy of attention, the remaining games. The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos(March 17 on Cloud, Xbox and PC) is a strategic role-playing game set in a fantasy world populated by bizarre heroes. There are seven playable ones: the Ranger, the Elf, the Dwarf, the Barbarian, the Wizard, the Ogre and the Thief. Zero Escape: The Nonary Games (from March 22 on Cloud, Xbox and PC) is a collection containing the remastered versions of Zero Escape: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward , halfway between the genre of graphic adventures and visual novels, embellishing everything with a mix of psychological horror, mystery, suspense, thriller and science fiction. Tainted Grail: Conquest(from 22 March on consoles) is finally a hybrid between a deck-based roguelike and a fantasy role-playing game, which its creators ensure is infinitely replayable.

We greet you with two service announcements. The list of Cloud games compatible with Xbox Touch Control has expanded to include 9 more titles, namely Among Us, Katamari Damacy Reroll, Lumines Remastered, Pupperazzi, Rubber Bandits, Spelunky 2, Telling Lies, Undungeon and Young Souls. We also warn you that on March 31 three games will leave the Xbox and PC Game Pass catalog: we are talking about Madden NFL 20 (Cloud, Xbox and PC), Narita Boy (Cloud, Xbox and PC) and Shadow Warrior 2 (Cloud, Xbox and PC).
