Elden Ring Patch 1.03 adjusted balance and added multiple NPC plots

It has been two weeks since the last update of Elden Ring. Today (March 17) Elden Ring version 1.03 update patch is launched, which improves the game performance and game experience, fixes a lot of bugs, and adjusts the balance. Added new NPC plots, etc., let’s take a look at the details.

Part of the 1.03 patch:

  • A new function has been added. When the player encounters an NPC, the location and name of the NPC can be displayed on the map.
  • Added new NPC Jar-Bairn.
  • Added multiple NPC-related plots, including Diallos, Nepheli Loux, Kenneth Haight and Gatekeeper Gostoc.
  • Added multiple NPCs that can fight together during boss battles.
  • Added nighttime background music to some clearing areas.
  • Fixed a bug where summoned NPCs could not take damage in certain boss battles.
  • Fixed a bug where players might not be able to obtain items after a boss battle.
  • Fixed a bug where players could not enter the next area after defeating the flame giant.
  • Fixed a bug that caused dialogue to be skipped when the player talked to an NPC.
  • Fixed a bug that the value of the weapon did not increase normally after players strengthened the weapon.
  • Increased the drop rate of forged stones for some enemies.
  • Added smithing stones to some shops early in the game
  • Improved the performance of some shields.
  • Increased the damage of all offensive pot items.

The damage of the following spells has been increased and their focus cost reduced:

  • Pyroxene Comet/Night Comet etc.
  • Increased the damage of some spells.
  • Reduced the Concentration cost of some spells.
  • Frost Step damage has been reduced and cast time has been increased.
  • Reduced the combat damage of Sword of Night and Fire.
  • Reduced the health required to summon Bionic Teardrop and changed its active mode.
