Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin suffers from noticeable frame rate issues on both PC and console, and according to one modder the reason is simple: apparently the game is terribly optimized.
We were talking a few days ago about big problems on PC for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, but the situation seems generalized and depends on some little sensible choices, to put it mildly, regarding the complexity of polygonal models.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin suffers from several frame rate and graphics issues, particularly on consoles, because the game’s polygonal models are the worst optimized thing I’ve ever seen, including 30MB geometry for some common enemies., wrote one of the modders.
FF Origins Strangers of Paradise seemingly has a lot of framerate (and resolution/visual) issues (especially on consoles), it’s because their models are genuinely the worst optimized thing I’ve ever seen, including stuff like 30mb geometry for (some) common enemies. pic.twitter.com/IeZTg5QSMs

There is a boss in the game that weighs 90MB of geometry alone, with no textures or anything, and has something like 1.8 million triangles. When I saw him I wondered who ever agreed to let this stuff through.
Another modder did a series of experiments, discovering that elements such as furs or effects applied to NPCs even underclothes, therefore unnecessarily, contribute to substantially depress the performance of the game.
