The well-known car rental giant Hertz’s website shows that the company has added Tesla’s electric mid-size SUV Model Y to its electric vehicle fleet. A few months ago, Hertz announced the purchase of 100,000 electric vehicles, mostly Model 3s, from Tesla.
It’s unclear whether the Model Y will be part of a goal of adding 100,000 electric vehicles, or if it will complement Model 3 orders. Hertz has not disclosed details.
In addition, Hertz has an agreement with Uber to provide its drivers with access to Tesla vehicles and will provide Uber with 50,000 Teslas to choose from.
