AMD 22.3.2 graphics driver release

After the 22.3.1 version of the heavy-duty driver that supports RSR oversampling anti-aliasing and speeds up downloads, AMD today released the second version of the graphics card driver in March 2022, version 22.3.2, dedicated to game optimization.

The new driver focuses on optimizing support for Ghostwire: Tokyo and improving the performance of Tina’s Wonderland, the new work of Borderlands developer Gearbox:

Compared with version 22.3.1, under the new driver, the game on RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT, and RX 6700 XT graphics cards, with the 4k Badass setting turned on, the performance is improved by up to 23%, 21%, and 20% respectively.

In addition, the new version of the driver also adds support for a new Vulkan API extension (VK_KHR_workgroup_memory_explicit_layout), and fixes five bugs, all of which are game-related:

  • RX 570 and other graphics cards run “Cyberpunk 2077” indoor scenes are dark
  • RX 6800 and other graphics cards crash the game running “Hades”
  • RX 6900 XT and other graphics cards crash the game “Final Fantasy: Origins”
  • RX 6900 XT and other graphics cards run Genshin Impact with video playback or encoding in the background
  • Using the driver hotkey switch Radeon Overlay in games such as “Grim Dawn” causes lag

Among the known issues, the lack of Windows 10 Aero translucent effect has not been resolved, and the RSR 2560×1600 display resolution may cause the system to become unresponsive.
