OnePlus has several innovations in the pipeline and among the new smartphones planned for 2022, there will also be the still unpublished OnePlus 10R. The project is one of six new OnePlus smartphones confirmed by a recent leak. Its debut is scheduled for the next few months.
Today, the new OnePlus 10R is the protagonist of new information disclosed by Pricebaba that anticipates the characteristics of the project and also shows us the first render in view of the expected debut for the second quarter of 2022. The new OnePlus 10R is preparing to expand the OnePlus range. The smartphone, as revealed by today’s new leak, could be a rebrand of the very recent Realme GT Neo 3, already available in China and also arriving on the European market in the near future.
To confirm the indiscretion is also the render disclosed by Pricebaba which shows us a module of the rear cameras very similar to that of the Realme smartphone, with the same arrangement of the sensors. Note, however, the different positioning of the LED flash, placed laterally with respect to the main sensor and not below as occurs with the new GT Neo 3.
As for the technical specifications, therefore, the new OnePlus 10R should present a 6.7-inch diagonal AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The display will feature a hole for the front camera, from 16 Megapixel ( Samsung S5K3P9 sensor), positioned centrally and not in the left corner of the smartphone.
To manage the operation of the new OnePlus smartphone we will find the SoC Dimensity 8100 supported by various combinations of RAM and storage, up to a maximum of 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The photographic sector will include a 50 Megapixel main sensor with Sony IMX766 sensor and OIS. To complete the range of sensors, there will be an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 Megapixel macro sensor.
The new OnePlus 10R should be offered with a 5,000 mAh battery and fast charging of 80 W. The Realme GT Neo 3, on the other hand, is also available in a second variant, with a 4,500 mAh battery and 150 W SuperVOOC charging. This variant, for the moment, should not be the basis of a new OnePlus smartphone. The future 10R is expected to have been developed starting with the 5,000 mAh version of the new Realme smartphone.
The datasheet of the OnePlus smartphone will include Android 12 and a fingerprint sensor under the display. There will be Dual SIM support. The dimensions should be equal to 163.3 × 75.6 × 8.2 mm with a weight of 188 grams (these are the data of the Realme GT Neo 3, the data of the new 10R may be slightly different.
When does the new OnePlus 10R arrive?
According to today’s leak, the new OnePlus 10R has been in the testing phase in India since the beginning of March. After this last step, the smartphone will be ready for its debut. The launch on the Indian market is expected in the second quarter of 2022. Previous rumors anticipated an official debut in May. For the moment, however, there are no more precise data. Still to be discovered, however, is the introductory price.
The possible arrival of the smartphone in Europe also remains to be evaluated.
