Debian version 11.3 release includes numerous bug fixes and security updates

Debian 12 Bookworm will be released next year, and this weekend’s release of Debian 11.3 is the latest update to the Bullseye series. Debian 11.3 is the same as previous GNU/Linux point releases, with only bug fixes and security updates. 11.3 brings security fixes to Apache’s log4j to address the notorious vulnerability and follow-up issues late last year.

Debian 11.3 also includes security fixes for ClamAV, FLAC, Glibc, Golang, XTerm, and various other packages — including addressing a denial-of-service vulnerability in NVIDIA drivers. The latest Intel CPU microcode update is also included due to the recent spate of security breach disclosures.

Debian 11.3 also includes a newer Linux 5.10 point release, updated deb installation documentation, and other maintenance updates.
