A new version of Android Auto is released at least once a month. But the car platform does not always have new or immediately apparent functions. This time, however, as some users on Reddit can report. The button for quick access to selected media, which appeared a very long time ago, is appearing for more and more users.
There is a new button (music note) in the control bar that opens a small pop-up. It shows selected media that might interest you. Google makes it possible to access music or podcasts faster. However, these “media picks” also include messages and playlists that have been readout.
At the moment, however, the selection of apps offered is still limited. Hopefully, this will get a little better in the future so that all users can benefit and not just those of certain popular apps.
