Google Meet Update: Get Emoji Reactions and Picture-in-Picture

Google Meet got the Emoji Reactions to feature in a recent update. With this feature, you can express your feelings by casting an emoji like a heart or a thumbs up during a meeting. Emoji will appear in the video tile, or in a list that floats on the side of the screen.

Google is also adding a picture-in-picture mode to Meet, which could be a useful feature to see who’s talking even when you’re not in an active Meet tab. This feature will be available starting in April when you use Meet in the Chrome browser.

If you want to make it easier to see others while working on a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide, you’ll soon be able to introduce Meet calling into these apps, where you’ll see meeting participants right next to what you’re working on. This feature will be available in the coming weeks.

If you want the ability to live stream Meet calls on YouTube, it will be available to Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and Teaching Plus Workspace customers in the coming months.
