Microsoft To Do, the company’s to-do list, is getting new features. Due dates and reminders can be set automatically. This type of feature is nothing special: Todoist, for example, has been offering this for a long time. If you enter a date in the text field for naming the task, it will automatically be noted as the due date and you will also receive a reminder.
In fact, Todoist is often overzealous and converts information that you might not even want as a date. Microsoft To Do should also recognize if you mean a recurring task. For example, if you have to do something specific every Monday. Not only days, but also times To Do should recognize in this way.
Adding Due dates and Reminders to your tasks got a whole lot easier! We have just released Smart Recognition of due date and reminder in #MicrosoftToDo on Windows. Try it out now! https://t.co/kA25CnBOZh#Windows #productivity pic.twitter.com/ZZ7tSS9RKs

Similar to Todoist, it should also be possible to delete recognized due dates if you don’t like them – by going back one character via backspace. Unfortunately, Microsoft is only introducing the new, automatic recognition of due dates for English-speaking users for the time being. Other languages will follow later.
