Samsung pulls the updates of the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy A50

Samsung can be reproached very little, rectius nulla, when it comes to software updates in the world of Android devices, however, it would be unrealistic to expect equal support for more and less recent devices and here we are dealing with different models falling within this second grouping: Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10+, Samsung Galaxy S10e, Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S9+ and Samsung Galaxy A50.

A few minutes ago we showed you all the details of Samsung’s security patches for April 2022. Well, in the second part of that article, dedicated to the models that will get this month’s SMR, some significant differences are noted compared to the similar lists of the previous month.

Samsung Galaxy S10 and A50: list change

The models of these series have not yet reached the end credits, but will have to endure the less frequent arrival of software updates.

As for the Galaxy S10 series, the change only affects the three models Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Samsung Galaxy S10e, which from now on will have quarterly updates; while Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will continue to receive monthly updates, at least for the moment.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy A50, which is part of the “Enterprise Models”, in turn, goes into the list of quarterly updates.
