Google wants to make it easier for users to use their Pixel smartphone longer, even after a claim. That’s why they’re working with iFixit to make it easier for independent repair professionals and consumers with appropriate technical experience to access the genuine Google parts they need to repair their Pixel.
Genuine Pixel replacement parts for Pixel 2 through Pixel 6 Pro and future Pixel models will be available later this year on ifixit.com in the US, Canada, Australia, and EU countries where the Pixel is available and the UK be.
The entire range of spare parts for common pixel repairs – such as e.g. B. Batteries, replacement screens, cameras and more – will be available either individually or in “iFixit Fix Kits” that include tools such as screwdrivers and spatulas.
If you don’t want to carry out repairs yourself and prefer professional help, you can always bring your smartphone to an authorized local technician who will repair it. Google already works with independent repair providers like uBreakiFix, who offer in-warranty and out-of-warranty Pixel repairs at more than 750 locations across the US and Canada. Similar partnerships exist with onsite support providers in Canada, Germany, Japan and the UK, with more to come. Pixel repair options are available in all countries where Pixel phones are sold.
