Samsung released its latest Galaxy Buds 2 in the second half of 2021. The South Korean tech giant hasn’t forgotten its Buds section and keeps on releasing the latest firmware updates and now this time Samsung has provided the latest firmware update to the Galaxy Buds 2.

Talking about this update, Galaxy Buds 2 latest update confirms the build number R177XXU0AVC8 and the size package of this update is only 03MB. As per the report, this update adds a 360 audio feature. This is a far cry from the last update that was released for the Galaxy Buds 2 a few months ago. That release brought a couple of new features.

Changelog:

  • Add 360 Audio support.
  • Bluetooth improvements.
  • Improves audio quality during voice calls

360 Audio: Samsung 360 Audio works with audio coming from most apps. It simply shifts the positioning of the stereo channels based on your head movements, or at least, it’s supposed to — I couldn’t get it to work with Spotify at all.

Note: If you haven’t received the update yet, try pairing your Galaxy Buds 2, opening the Galaxy Wearable app, selecting ‘Earbuds settings,’ and finally tapping ‘Earbuds software update’ near the bottom of the list.

About:

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is the latest true wireless headset from the Korean company, but it isn’t the flagship product in the range. Priced at Rs. 11,999, this is a mid-range headset with a good feature set, including active noise cancellation, app support with Android smartphones, and support for the Scalable advanced Bluetooth codec. The headset offers decent sound and battery life, but isn’t quite the flagship experience you get from the Galaxy Buds Pro.

The Scalable codec is limited to Samsung smartphones, there’s no iOS app support, and the IPX2 water resistance rating is a bit disappointing, but on the whole, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is well priced and offers plenty to like. It’s a very good pick if you have a Samsung smartphone, and offers a good core experience even if you have any other source device.
