Google Pixel 6a makes its first appearance on Geekbench

The outcome of this comparison between Google Pixel 6a and Google Pixel 6 seems not to be as obvious as many may have thought: according to the Geekbench database, in fact, it is the new smartphone of the Mountain View giant that is capable of recording the results. higher and this in both single-core and multi-core tests.

In particular, in the single-core test Google Pixel 6a scored 1,050 points against the 1,044 points of Google Pixel 6 while in the multi-core test the new smartphone reached 2,833 points compared to the 2,758 points of the “big brother”.

Both smartphones subject to this comparison are based on Android 12 while there is a small difference with regards to RAM: the model launched by Google last year has 8 GB at its disposal while the new phone has 6 GB.

Obviously, the difference between the two devices is so small that the advantage of the newcomer to Google may have been only the result of a little luck but, in any case, the Google Pixel 6a should be able to count on the Google Tensor processor and this leaves well hope for the level of performance it will be able to guarantee to users.

Among its other features we should find a 6.2-inch display with Full HD + resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate and a 4,800 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 30 W. For the official presentation, there will probably be a wait until Google I / O 2022, scheduled for next month. We’ll see.
