Google Pixel: Android 13 probably allows calls via your Chromebook

Making calls from your PC when you’re working on your PC? Google probably wants to make this possible for Chromebooks. Whoops, the next leak has already appeared. This time it’s about an even more extensive connection between Google Pixel and ChromeOS.

As has already been discovered, Pixel phones will be able to forward their calls to a connected Chromebook in the future. This applies to incoming calls, but also to outgoing phone calls.

Phone Hub for ChromeOS to be expanded

This is not necessarily groundbreaking. Microsoft has been offering this via its PC app for some time. Google obviously wants to improve and offer similar features for its Chromebooks. Although this feature will probably work with any Chromebook that is equipped with the latest version of ChromeOS at the time of launch.

It could well be possible that this feature needs at least Android 13 on the phone side. And it’s not yet clear whether Google will allow “call forwarding” only for Pixel phones or for other Android devices as well. We will only find out in the coming months.
