Sony has released a new system update for PS4, bringing the software to version 9.51. Unfortunately, there is little to be excited about, because it is the classic stability update, with a very tight release note.
According to Sony, installing it will improve system performance. So some bugs were fixed not better specified and some oil was given to the gears, but nothing more.
Although it is not specified, the hope is that the bug that forces some to update the PSN profile every time they start the console has been fixed.
Also today, Sony has updated the system software of PS5, as already reported. Even for the latest generation console, it was a mere stability update.
Both consoles had received a more substantial system update in March 2022, so it was not legitimate to expect much from the new firmware, released so shortly after the others.
