With the release of the PS5, Sony’s PS5 controller, the DualSense, has long been a unique and innovative controller. There is also a problem with using the handle on the PC side: the user cannot update the controller firmware without accessing the PS5 host, and this problem may now be solved.

The official PlayStation website released an updated document for the “DualSense Wireless Controller Firmware Update EULA (Version 1.0)” on April 6, which mentioned information about the use of handles by Windows and Mac, which was subsequently deleted but is still available on Google Cache.

This information suggests that Sony may be trying to fix the PS5 controller’s inability to get a firmware update on the PC side. It’s unclear when Sony will launch a PC firmware update for the PS5 gamepad, but there are already proper “EULAs” which means the process could come sooner than expected.

It is worth mentioning that Steam has supported the PS5 gamepad from the beginning, but users cannot download the official firmware update from Sony.
