The April 2022 cumulative update for Microsoft Windows 10 is now available with a series of improvements and fixes. Microsoft has released cumulative updates for Windows 10 KB5012599 and KB5012591 for versions 21H2, 21H1, 20H2, and 1909 to address security vulnerabilities and bugs.

This cumulative update introduces the Search Highlights feature, which is designed to enrich the Windows Search Home page. As the name suggests, search highlights will show content related to the user’s interests, trending topics on Bing, topics of the day, or news related to the current date.

In addition, the patch fixes the following issues:

Microsoft warned in the announcement that this is the penultimate update of Windows 10 1909 and 20H2 (all versions), and its support will end in May 2022, please update to the next major version as soon as possible. You can find updates in Windows Settings and download and install them.
