The new Google Camera update contains a generic bug fix

The Google Camera, the real strength of the photographic sector of Google brand smartphones, is updated for all owners of a Google Pixel smartphone. The new update is marked with version 8.4.600 and replaces the previous version 8.4.500, configuring itself as a minor update.

Google Camera updates on Pixel devices

Minor update, we said. To underline this, the change of the version number comes to the rescue: to change are only the digits of the third block from the left (the complete code of the version is 8.4.600.440402475.27), and are mainly indicating general improvements and bug fixes.

The changelog reported on the app’s page on the Google Play Store certainly does not help us: in fact, after the introduction of Material You within its photo app, which took place with version 8.3 released last July, Google has no longer updated it; this could, however, be read and interpreted as a “don’t worry, there is nothing new”.

Pixel owners can therefore expect simple bug fixes and performance optimizations from the new version of Google Camera. If further news should come to light, we will not fail to inform you.

The new update weighs 118 MB and is available for all Google Pixel smartphones updated to Android 12 or later of the operating system, that is, for all Big G smartphones from the Pixel 3 to the current Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
