Google makes it easy to switch to Android devices. A new app is now also being prepared for Google Pixel. The updates roll out.
Google released a new iOS app a few days ago, which should make it easier to switch from iPhones to Android phones. In the meantime, the rollout of the app in the iTunes App Store has also officially started.
However, not yet completely as Google has actually planned the rollout. Because on the side of the Pixel phones, Google also has to roll out an update so that the devices can communicate with the said Switch to Android app.

But that’s not all. Google also makes sure that you turn off iMessage on your iPhone so as not to miss messages from your contacts when you have mothballed your iPhone. Switch to Android’s goal is to take care of the most important steps of the move for and with you.

Once the rollout of all necessary updates has been completed, the new app can be used in all markets where Google currently offers its Pixel smartphones. So this also includes Germany. Of course, the app should be primarily intended for people who own an iPhone and like to switch to a Google Pixel. This could become more and more people in the future if Google continues the hype of its Pixel 6 models this year with new devices.
I would rather see Google and Apple better integrate their software into the competing operating systems. Then no one is forced to change. We continue to dream of iMessage for Android or RCS support in Google Messages for iPhones.
