Samsung won’t release classic Galaxy Note series in 2020

Samsung updated the Galaxy S series in the first half of the year and the Galaxy Note series in the second half of the year. This tradition lasted for nearly 10 years. However, all this was terminated due to the suspension of the Galaxy Note series.

On May 2, the technology media SamMobile pointed out that in the second half of the year, Samsung will bring two folding screen flagships, the Galaxy Z Flip4 and the Galaxy Z Fold4. It is disappointing that there is no Galaxy Note series.

SamMobile said that the Galaxy Note series has been exciting, mainly because the Galaxy Note series will make up for the shortcomings of the Galaxy S series released that year. However, the Galaxy Note series exited, and the replacement flagship with a folding screen was not as perfect as the Galaxy Note series.

Taking the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 as an example, Samsung did not stuff the S Pen into the Galaxy Z Fold4, and the Galaxy Z Fold4’s image is not that strong. According to the data, Samsung’s first-generation Galaxy Note was released in 2011 with a screen size of 5.3 inches. It was called a “giant-screen mobile phone ” in that era, creating a new way of playing Android mobile phones – large screen + stylus.

Starting from the Galaxy Note generation, Samsung has launched a dual flagship product strategy, releasing the Galaxy S series in the first half of the year and the Galaxy Note series in the second half.

Now Samsung Electronics executive TM Roh has officially confirmed that the Galaxy Note series will no longer be launched, and the Galaxy S Ultra product line will replace it. The latest Galaxy S22 Ultra not only has the powerful configuration of the S series but also adds the iconic S Pen of the Note series. A replacement for the Galaxy Note series.
