As hypothesized (and hoped for) by many battle royale patrons, the lightsabers of Star Wars are back in Fortnite on the occasion of Star Wars Day 2022.
With the publication of the Fortnite update 20.30: Royal Battle, the Force has in fact resumed flowing powerfully within the free-to-play island, thanks to a special event with a limited duration. Available from today – to Tuesday 3 May -, the crossover will remain operational within Fortnite until next Tuesday 17 May.
During this time, battle royale patrons will be able to take advantage of many special contents, starting with lightsabers. The iconic blades of Luke Skywaker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and Kylo Ren can be wielded by Fortnite players, but not only. In fact, the E-11 Blaster Rifle is also back on the scene, which will be available in the chests on the ground and at the checkpoints created by the attackers in search of Obi-Wan.
There is also space for the new Star Wars assignments . Active now until 6:00 am on May 17, the latter will reward a landspeeder, rewards in Experience Points and, by completing five, an Empire banner. Finally, in the Fortnite: Royal Battle shop, many Star Wars themed costumes return:
