Google I/O 2022: Preview of the developer conference, these topics and announcements are coming (schedule)

How time flies: In one week the Google I/O developer conference will start, which will bring us many new products, announcements and previews of future developments. After CEO Sundar Pichai had already raised the spirits a bit, the schedule for the two-day event has now been published, which gives a deeper insight into what we can look forward to.

A week before the Google I/O, the schedule is usually already known, which gives interesting insights into what to expect. Of course, they keep a low profile and won’t mention any of the new products, but with a little background knowledge and the priorities set, you can already imagine what’s to come. In each individual session, new features are announced or an outlook for the future is given.

What is really exciting is the keynote, which takes place on May 11 at 10:00 a.m. local time and usually lasts two to three hours. During this keynote, the really big announcements are announced, showing off new products like the Pixel 6a and Pixel Watch, but also serious future products.

In most cases, anyone who has seen the keynote has already learned the most important things. But the entire first day is still full of announcements, while the second is more about the community and the developer conference lives up to its name.

Of course, shortly before the Google I/O, we will give you a preview of what to expect here in the blog, keep you up to date during the I/O and provide a summary after the end of the event. There will certainly be one or two surprises again this year that nobody expected at the time of the announcement.
