Google often introduces new features into its iOS apps before bringing them to Android, and it sometimes happens that Apple makes changes to its Android apps before putting them into the iOS versions.

Apple Music adds a Sleep Timer in the beta for Android

According to 9to5Google, this feature allows users to automatically stop playing music after a specified amount of time and options currently include 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour and the end of the song, album, or song. Current playlist. The timer option is accessible via the three-dot menu on the playback screen.

Apple Music on iOS 15 does not yet have a sleep timer and users need to go to the Timers section of the Clock app and select the “Stop Playing” option which however stops any audio playback on the iPhone when the timer ends.

The Apple Music for Android code also contains references to stopping playback at the end of the current show or episode, but the option seems inaccessible at this time.

It’s hard to say what this refers to, however, the company could introduce podcast support in the Apple Music app for Android as the company now offers podcast subscriptions and would make more money by including Android users.

It is currently unclear whether the company will insert the sleep timer in Apple Music for iOS as well, after all the crossfade remains absent, despite being available on Android.
