Apple promised a firmware update for the Studio Display in March to fix the webcam issue. The Studio Display has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera that supports centered portraits, but Studio Display reviewers and users have found that the camera consistently produces grainy, washed-out images, which Apple says is the system not working as expected. The firmware brings updated “camera adjustments, improved noise reduction, contrast and framing”.
