Recently, WindowsCentral editor Jez Corden broke the news on his podcast show, that Blizzard has developed a new AAA survival game codenamed “Odyssey” for nearly 5 years. Previously, Blizzard revealed through a job advertisement that they were developing a AAA survival game set in a new universe.
While job advertisements suggest that the new survival game is still in the early stages of development, there appears to be a playable version of the game, which studio owner Mike Ybarra says he and the development team have been playing for hours.
Previously, according to tomedia reports, all current and former Blizzard employees with knowledge of the game expressed excitement about the game and the team behind it. Even Activision Blizzard’s most vocal critics praised the project.
