Tomorrow Sunday it’s that time again: Mother’s Day. If you fell off your chair in shock, you might be able to use Google Photos and create a very nice photo gift. With the photo platform, it is easy to create a beautiful video gift for Mother’s Day, which can also be sent on all moms’ days. On the occasion of this, we will show you again today how you can create such a personalized video gift.
Google Photos has long had a feature to create personalized movies from all the photos and videos stored in cloud storage. With this feature, certain basic moods can be selected from a small list of topics for which a film is to be created. There is also a special template for Mother’s Day that can be used to create a personalized film about the best memories of a mom and her children.
This is how you create your personal Mother’s Day film
- It Opens Google Photos and switches to the “Manage” category
- In the “Create new” area, select “Movie”
- Alternatively, just click this link
- Now select “Mother’s Day” from the list of possible films
- A list of all the people recognized in the photos in the database will then open
- There you now select first the mother and in the second step the child or children
- Complete
In just a few minutes, the Google Photos Assistant will search through the entire photo database, find the most beautiful shared photos of the selected people and combine them into a short film of around one minute in length. The film will not only consist of a small animated slide show, which incidentally can also contain videos, but will also be accompanied by beautiful, appropriate music.
Once the film is finished, you don’t have to leave it as it is. In the photos app on the smartphone, the selection of images and the music used can still be edited and changed – so that the best photos are actually included or unsuitable photos can be removed. In addition, it really has something very personal 😉 In general, however, the assistant creates very nice videos.
A little tip: Feel free to start this assistant several times, because it actually always comes up with different results and creates very different videos. You can then be well inspired by them and select the best pictures for your own adapted film. The video can then be shared or downloaded directly.
PS Such a film can also be created for Father’s Day and other occasions. Officially, this will only be celebrated in six weeks, but you can start a test run or send other people a nice personalized greeting.
