The Google developer team continues to work tirelessly to improve the many applications of the Mountain View giant and among those for which there is news on the way we find YouTube Music and Google Translate.
YouTube Music tests a new interface for playlists
Starting with YouTube Music, Google is testing a new interface for playlist features, which is one of the most important aspects of discovering new songs. In the new interface, the first two lines indicate who created the playlist and when it was last updated, then the cover with the artist’s image is shown, with the text on the right side and the YouTube Music logo in the top left corner.
Next are all the buttons, which are displayed on a single line (download, add to the library, play, share and the menu key).

At the moment this appears to be only a test conducted by the YouTube Music team with some users and there is no information on when this new playlist interface could be made available to everyone.
Google Translate saves your search histories in your accounts
In 2020, the Google Translate team warned users of a change of rules which, after 2 years, could finally become effective: we are referring to the communication relating to the search history on the service, which the Mountain View giant has decided to want to make it available only to those who are logged in to their Google account.
Compared to saving histories on a local basis (i.e. on each device), this feature improves the user experience on multiple devices, ensuring a sort of continuity between platforms. In the past few hours, the reports of users to whom Google Translate has asked to back up the search history on their Google account, manage the registration of activities or continue using the app without an account have been multiplying on the Net.
Users who want to sync their search history to the cloud should ensure that the Web & App Activity Control setting is enabled in their Google Account.
