In February it was announced that the Marvel series will disappear from Netflix in March 2022. There was direct speculation that they would find a new home on Disney+, and so they did. Unfortunately, that was not the case in Germany.
Here it was only confirmed that the Marvel series should come in 2022. I would have thought since they didn’t get more specific, that it would be quite a while before they could be streamed on Disney+ in Germany. But it’s relatively quick.
Starting June 29th, you will be able to stream Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and The Defenders on Disney+. Incidentally, this not only applies to Germany, but also to Austria and Switzerland.
Why this delay? Disney didn’t reveal that, but it’s probably due to complex rights that had to be regulated in the background. So far it is still unclear whether the old Marvel series will be continued, but that could happen with Daredevil. Charlie Cox already had a cameo appearance in Spider-Man.
