Google Calendar introduces a little change to reduce confusion

Google Calendar represents one of the most popular products among those offered by the Mountain View giant, as it can be exploited both for personal and work activities and in recent years its team of developers has worked hard to improve the latter aspect.

One of the ways in which Google Calendar supports hybrid work is to allow employees to specify their job positions and in the past few hours the team of the Mountain View giant, through a post on the official blog, has announced the introduction of a small change of the interface that should make the experience of using this feature more pleasant.

Here’s how the Google Calendar interface changes

As explained by Google, the update in question has been specifically designed with the aim of improving the functionality of the work position, offering the same function to easily enter and update information about the place where you are in a format more compact and that uses screen space more efficiently.

Essentially, just a small change which, however, should decrease the risk of confusing an appointment and the job location.

Availability and release times

The Google Calendar team has announced that it has already started the release operations of this change of the interface, specifying that it will take up to 15 days for it to reach all the users it is intended for.

Specifically, this change will be available to Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, Nonprofits and G Suite Business users.

It will not be available to Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Enterprise Essentials, Education Fundamentals, Frontline, and G Suite Basic users, as well as those with a personal Google account.
