Android Auto causes problems with Pixel smartphones

We reported here yesterday about a new beta for Android Auto that Google is now testing. Version 7.7 of Android Auto is coming and the update solves a few problems that have been with the Samsung Galaxy S22 range in recent months.

However, new problems have also been introduced with these models, for many users, the screen is completely black and does not display any content when the device is connected. Samsung users are not alone with the problem.

Android Auto: Problems with Pixel devices

As Android Police notes, there are also problems with Google’s Pixel smartphones themselves. In our post yesterday, a Pixel user also reported problems. So things aren’t going smoothly with Android Auto.

Google plans to roll out a new design for Android Auto in the next few weeks, but before you jump into it, it’s important to get a handle on the current issues. However, version 7.7 of Android Auto is still in beta, so Google has some time to fix these issues before release.

PS: Some users are still using version 7.6 and some have installed the beta of Android 13, so you can’t really narrow it down. If Android Auto isn’t working properly for you either, you’re not alone.
