Gears 6 takes shape: The coalition seeks motion capture and Unreal Engine experts

While the rumors and advances about the new IP of The Coalition beyond Gears 6 continue to bounce on the net, the Canadian subsidiary of Xbox Game Studios opens a new job position to signal the search for a motion capture expert to be involved in the development of Gears of War.

On the basis of the latest information pitted by the curators of the Careers section of the official Microsoft website, we learn that the leaders of The Coalition wish to expand their staff to make room for a new technician specialized, in fact, in the creation of motion capture sessions.

The card published by the Redmond company specifies that the expert in question will have to work specifically on the Gears of War series at the headquarters of The Coalition in Vancouver (Canada), hence the hypothesis of the imminent departure of the mocap sessions by Gears 6.

Going into the specifics of the tasks to be carried out by the new motion capture technician, Microsoft underlines that the new professional figure of The Coalition will have to “guarantee the highest quality of the footage taken in the mocap sessions”. Without providing further references to Gears 6, the card specifies that candidates for the role of Motion Capture Technician will also be selected based on their experiences in developing video games based on Unreal Engine.

Considering that the searches for the recruitment of this important professional figure have just begun, it is difficult to hypothesize the presence of Gears 6 already during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase event planned by Microsoft for the increasingly upcoming 12 June.
