In August 2021, Tesla quietly released a set of subscription services to help Tesla owners repair their cars. Tesla provides users with two subscription services: The first subscription is the “Service and Repair” information package, which Tesla has now provided free of charge to all owners to help all car owners access and use maintenance manuals, tools, and wiring diagrams and other relevant documents.
It is reported that the original price of this subscription service is $3187.5 per year, $371.88 per month, $106.25 per day, and $31.88 per hour. Another Tesla subscription service is the “Diagnostic Software” service package. It was already available in Europe before and only started to be available in the US last year, with monthly and annual subscriptions only. It now shows as $500 per month or $3000 per year. Previously, the service was $333.00 per month and $2,000 per year.
Although it sounds a bit outrageous, most foreign media believe that this is an adjustment in Tesla’s policy. The “Diagnostic Software” service package includes the Toolbox 3 diagnostic software and the standalone HV battery shipping evaluation tool (Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y), which is more professional.
