Google has almost completely revised the camera
Google keeps the basic design of both Pixel 7 smartphones from its predecessors. However, the new models look very different, especially when it comes to the camera. Google changes color. The camera bar is no longer black but in different colors.
But in any case, the camera bar is light and not so dark in all available color variants. On the black devices, the camera bar is gray. In addition, the camera bar is now just a single element and merges completely seamlessly into the housing frame.
It could appear that there will again be some color variants with a glossy frame and some with a matte finish.
Accent color now found elsewhere
What is also noticeable: Google’s second accent color is not found above the camera bar this time but in the form of the camera bar itself. In addition, the entire housing frame reflects the accent color.
Comparison with Pixel 6: Many small details ensure a new appearance
Visually, the camera modules are highlighted much more clearly by the individual glass parts. With this, Google creates a completely different look, although the basic idea is unchanged. The smooth transitions look much more coherent to me overall. Even a detail as small as the new position of the microphone makes the overall picture better.
It’s hard to say, but the height of the camera bar seems a bit lower to me. However, that can also be deceptive. I would be very happy if the Google Pixel 7 ‘s camera bar protruded a little less.
