GfK and GamesIndustry shared the ranking of the best-selling retail games in the UK in the week ending May 21, 2022. In the first place, we find Horizon Forbidden West, which regains the top of the ranking three months after launch thanks to the new bundles of PS5 that include the game.

Horizon Forbidden West, which had already climbed to third place last week, has seen a 94% increase since the launch of the new standard PS5 and Digital bundles that include a copy of the Guerrilla Games title. That was enough to conquer the top of the top 10, bypassing Nintendo Switch Sports, now in the second position, with sales dropping by 37% on a weekly basis.
The arrival of new PS5 stocks has also had positive effects on the sales of the other games published by Sony PlayStation: Gran Turismo 7 has risen from 13th to 10th place with a 38% increase in sales, while Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is in the top 20 in 15th place placing 275% more copies than the previous week.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, drops from second to third place (-30%), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe firmly maintains fourth place (despite -16% of copies sold), while Pokémon Legends: Arceus rises one position placing fifth (+ 5%).
There weren’t many new physical releases last week. The most prominent is Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong which, however, only ranks in twentieth place. Evil Dead – The Game, on the other hand, drops to twelfth place after finishing fifth in the week of its debut, with a drop in sales of 51%.
