To quit Overwatch, players throw computers into lakes

The PVP Beta test of “Return of Overwatch” has ended, and players can only go back to play “Overwatch”. Although not everyone is happy to return to 6V6, one player did find that Blizzard’s game was too Addictive.

In a now-deleted Twitter video, @Fl4k_Drifter took his laptop to the lake and threw it in, with the Overwatch loading screen still on the screen. The video went viral in the Overwatch community, forcing Drifter to remove him, but he also revealed why he did so.

“I’ve been playing this game almost every day since its release, and the gameplay and its community have fascinated me, I don’t want to do anything else, it’s getting in the way of my college classes. I just can’t discipline myself.”

“Simply uninstalling it would have me reinstalling in a few days, and I even dropped out of school because of it,” Drifter added. “I’m addicted to that game. It’s not a simple hobby, it’s an addiction.”

Although Drifter deleted the original video, he uploaded a reversed version, making a joke about returning to the game. Overwatch was released on May 24, 2016, and today, it has been six years.
