Dead Space: The original creator says it’s weird not to be part of the remake

Dead Space creator Glen Schofield recently shared his feelings about Dead Space Remake, stating that it is “a little odd” not to be involved in the development project at EA.

“I took [the announcement] as a compliment. I still take it as a compliment. But I’m also a little sorry. It’s a weird thing like I’m not tied to your own game,” Schofield told Game Informer. “It’s a weird feeling. […] They want to make a better game than you did.”

Recall that Schofield was the creator and executive producer of Dead Space (2008) when he was part of Visceral Games and provided creative input on Dead Space 2 before leaving the studio to co-found Sledgehammer Games in 2009. Schofield was not involved. in 2013’s Dead Space 3.
