Google releases Android 13 beta 2.1 for Google Pixel 4, 4a, 4a 5G, 5 and 6

Through a short press release, published on the official social channels, Google announces the availability of Android 13 beta 2.1 for the Google Pixel 4, 4a, 4a 5G, 5a, 5 and 6, also in XL and Pro versions, which are the only supported models.

About a month after the release of beta 2, therefore, a minor update arrives, as the version number suggests, for the release of the stable version of Android 13 in the fall with the aim of fixing some annoying bugs found in the previous version.

New in Android 13 beta 2.1

As mentioned above, this new release of Android 13 beta 2.1 brings with it only some improvements for performance and stability, nothing else. There are no new features, neither graphic nor functional, of any kind. For the more curious, the changelog is as follows:

  • Fixed an issue where typing in the search bar resulted in a blank list of suggestions.
  • Fixed an issue where devices would crash and restart when turning on the hotspot.
  • Fixed an issue where a continuous call dialing sound could be heard in the background during a phone call.
  • Fixed an issue where devices would crash and restart after disconnecting from Android Auto.
