According to the latest reports, the popular image editor for Mac Pixelmator Pro has received a major update, version v2.4.3 introduces a new photo browser, and other enhancements, such as improved PSD and SVG file support and better management of photos stored in iCloud.

According to the developers, the new Photos browser has been “redesigned from the ground up” to improve support for iCloud Photos and provide a faster browsing experience. For example, photos stored in iCloud are now automatically downloaded at full resolution when you open Photos in the app.

Photos are now organized in the same categories like the Apple Photos app, including Recents, Favorites, Panoramas, Selfies, and Screenshots. Additionally, any changes the user makes in the Photos app are instantly visible in Pixelmator Pro. Users can even change the size of the thumbnails using keyboard shortcuts.

With an update, Pixelmator Pro now has better support for exporting PSD files. These files will now open in Adobe Photoshop with editable levels, curves, channel mixers, and other layer settings. Support for SVG files has also been improved.
